4.2 I Maintenance
Before any maintenance work on the appliance, you must cut the electricity supply as there is
a risk of electric shock which may cause material damage, serious injury or even death.
It is recommended that the appliance undergo general servicing at least on a yearly basis to
ensure its proper operaon, maintain performance levels and prevent any possible failures.
These operaons are carried out at the user's expense, by a qualied technician.
4.2.1 User maintenance
Make sure that the venlaon grid is not blocked by any foreign bodies.
Clean any dirt o the fan blades and the protecve grid,
Unplug the power cable and clean the evaporator (on the rear of the appliance) using a so bristle brush and a low-
pressure jet of fresh water, being careful not to bend the metal ns.
Clean the condensate drainage line to remove any impuries that may be blocking it.
Do not use a high pressure jet. Do not spray with rain water, salt water or water which is full of minerals.
Clean the outside of the appliance using a solvent-free product; a specic "PAC NET" cleaning kit is available as an
accessory in the Zodiac® catalogue for this purpose (see § “1.1 I Descripon”).
4.2.2 Maintenance to be carried out by a qualied technician
Carry out an appliance’s annual sealing test.
Check that the high and low pressure switches are securely fastened to the cooling circuit and that they cut o the
electrical circuit when tripped.
Ensure there are no traces of corrosion or oil around the cooling components.
Check the composion and state of the heat transfer uid as well as the absence of any traces of coolant.
Check that the control system is operang correctly.
Check that the condensates ow correctly when the appliance is in operaon.
Compressor
Check the oil level using the indicator on the compressor.
Check that the crankcase heater is operang correctly.
Check the gas load (compressor properly cooled with circulang gas).
Check that consumpon has not increased.
Check that the compressor discharge pressures are not too high and that the sucon pressures are not too low.
Check that the compressor mounngs are not damaged.
Check that there is no frost in the compressor.
Fan
Check the fan ows on an annual basis.
Electrical board
Check the electrical protecon systems.
Check the connecon of the metal masses to the earth.
Check that the electrical cables are correctly ghtened and connected and that the switch box is clean.
Check that no overheang can be found in the electrical terminals.
Check that the thermostat or main control are operang correctly by comparing its reading with those of a mercury
thermometer (sensor calibraon).
