5.4.1.3 Heang/Cooling mode
In Heang/Cooling mode, the appliance cools the water when the sensor temperature is higher than the setpoint
temperature increased by the temperature dierenal of the Heang/Cooling mode (parameter F15). The appliance
stops cooling the water when the temperature is below the setpoint temperature.
The appliance heats the water when the sensor temperature is lower than the setpoint temperature reduced by the
temperature dierenal of the Heang/Cooling mode (parameter F15). The appliance stops cooling the water when the
temperature is above the setpoint temperature.
5.4.2 I Operang principles of the defrosng process
• The defrosng process is acvated when the outside air temperature drops below 3°C. If the water
temperature is below 4°C, the appliance stops or switches to standby and acvates the ltraon pump so
that water does not freeze in the pipes.
In Heang mode, the regulator controls the evaporator temperature and starts the defrosng process based on
the appliance's operang me at low temperatures (taking into account the advanced parameters "Start defrosng
temperature" and "Start defrosng duraon", see § “5.3 I Advanced seng parameters (accessible by a qualied
technician)”, sengs F31 and F33). If the evaporator temperature rises above the "Start defrosng temperature"
during the controller's ming phase, the controller resets to zero. The controller restarts ming when the evaporator
temperature drops below the "Start defrosng temperature".
The defrosng controller thus measures the appliance's operang me at low temperature.
For pumps equipped with 2 compressors, defrosng will only start if both circuits full defrosng condions.
If the outside air temperature is higher than the "Stop defrosng temperature" (F32), the controller stops the defrosng
process. If the defrosng me is greater than the "Maximum defrosng duraon", the controller will stop the defrosng
process.
When circuit 1 fulls the condions for stopping the defrosng cycle, compressor 1 waits unl compressor 2 fulls the
same condions. As soon as compressor 2 stops, the Heang mode is restarted in both circuits (aer a delay me which
has been set between the two compressors).
The operang sequence is shown below.
If both evaporator temperature sensors are faulty, the system checks the outside air temperature. If this
temperature is lower than F35 and the appliance's operang me is longer than the Start defrosng me,
the pump starts defrosng and subsequently stops this process when the defrosng me overtakes the
maximum defrosng me.
