5.4.1.3 Heang/Cooling mode
In Heang/Cooling mode, the appliance cools the water when the sensor temperature is higher than the setpoint
temperature increased by the temperature dierenal of the Heang/Cooling mode (parameter F15). The appliance
stops cooling the water when the temperature is below the setpoint temperature.
The appliance heats the water when the sensor temperature is lower than the setpoint temperature reduced by the
temperature dierenal of the Heang/Cooling mode (parameter F15). The appliance stops cooling the water when the
temperature is above the setpoint temperature.
5.4.2 I Operang principles of the defrosng process
The defrosng process is acvated when the outside air temperature drops below 3°C. If the water
temperature is below 4°C, the appliance stops or switches to standby and acvates the ltraon pump so
that water does not freeze in the pipes.
In Heang mode, the regulator controls the evaporator temperature and starts the defrosng process based on
the appliance's operang me at low temperatures (taking into account the advanced parameters "Start defrosng
temperature" and "Start defrosng duraon", see § “5.3 I Advanced seng parameters (accessible by a qualied
technician)”, sengs F31 and F33). If the evaporator temperature rises above the "Start defrosng temperature"
during the controller's ming phase, the controller resets to zero. The controller restarts ming when the evaporator
temperature drops below the "Start defrosng temperature".
The defrosng controller thus measures the appliance's operang me at low temperature.
For pumps equipped with 2 compressors, defrosng will only start if both circuits full defrosng condions.
If the outside air temperature is higher than the "Stop defrosng temperature" (F32), the controller stops the defrosng
process. If the defrosng me is greater than the "Maximum defrosng duraon", the controller will stop the defrosng
process.
When circuit 1 fulls the condions for stopping the defrosng cycle, compressor 1 waits unl compressor 2 fulls the
same condions. As soon as compressor 2 stops, the Heang mode is restarted in both circuits (aer a delay me which
has been set between the two compressors).
The operang sequence is shown below.
If both evaporator temperature sensors are faulty, the system checks the outside air temperature. If this
temperature is lower than F35 and the appliance's operang me is longer than the Start defrosng me,
the pump starts defrosng and subsequently stops this process when the defrosng me overtakes the
maximum defrosng me.
