The 100% stator earth fault protection requires the injection unit REX060 and optional shunt
resistor unit REX062 for correct operation.

Inputs of 100% stator earth fault protection, injection based STTIPHIZ
•
USV
is the analog input for the measured injected voltage. This signal is taken from an AI
output of the pre-processor function block. If for example the SMAI1 function block is used,
then the output G1AI1 is linked to the input GRP1_A of the pre-processor function block; this
input of the SMAI is linked to the analog voltage channel of TRM that is wired to “U” channel of
REX060
•
USI
is the analog input for the measured injected current. This signal is taken from an AI
output of the pre-processor function block. If for example the SMAI1 function block is used,
then the output G1AI2 is linked to the input GRP1_B of the pre-processor function block; this
input of the SMAI is linked to the analog voltage channel of TRM that is wired to “I” channel of
REX060.
•
BLOCK
is the binary input to block alarm, start and trip outputs of the function.
•
ZREFSEL
is the integer input to select the active reference impedance. There is the possibility
to set five different reference impedances.
Outputs of 100% stator earth fault protection, injection based STTIPHIZ
•
TRIP
is the binary output that is used as trip command; this binary output is set to logical
value one if the evaluated resistance to ground is lower than the setting
RTrip
, using the
internal trip time characteristic.
• BFI is the binary output that is used as start signal; this binary output is set to logical value
one if the evaluated resistance to ground is lower than the setting
RTrip
.
•
ALARM
is the binary output that is set to logical value one if the evaluated resistance to
ground is lower than the setting
RAlarm
for a time that is not shorter than the set alarm delay.
•
ERROR
is the binary output that is set to logical value one if any error condition is detected.
•
ERRSTAT
is the integer output that provides a binary coded information about the type of
error. See table 188
•
RAVE
is the analog output which is the average measured resistance to ground in Ω (real part
of the average measured impedance).
•
XAVE
is the analog output which is the average measured reactance to ground in Ω at the
injected frequency (imaginary part of the average measured impedance).
•
FREQV
is the analog output which is the measured frequency of the injected signal.
•
RFAULT
is the analog output which is the estimated fault resistance in Ω; this output can also
provide the codes -1000 (if the fault resistance is above 10 kΩ, the code -1000 is initially
provided until the evaluated resistance to ground reaches a stable value) and -2000 (if an
error condition is active).
•
ZREF
is an integer output that identifies the active reference impedance.
•
ZREFRE
is the real part (resistance) of the active reference impedance.
•
ZREFIM
is the imaginary part (reactance) of the active reference impedance.
•
VRMSSTAT
, this binary output is set to logical value one if the measured RMS voltage is larger
than the set limit
ULimRMS
.
