Intended Use
The ACCU‑CHEK Aviva Expert blood sugar monitoring system is intended for the quantitative measurement of
blood glucose. The ACCU‑CHEK Aviva Expert system is intended for self‑testing outside the body (in vitro
diagnostic use) by people with diabetes and/or by professionals in a clinical setting as an aid to effective
diabetes management. Testing sites include traditional ngertip site along with palm, forearm, upper arm,
thigh, and calf.
The ACCU-CHEK Aviva Expert meter is also indicated for the management of diabetes by calculating an insulin
dose or carbohydrate intake based on user-entered data.
