Insert Insulin Cartridge continued
Step 8: Position your insulin pump upright (with the adapter pointing upwards). Insert the
cartridge into the cartridge compartment. Twist (don’t push) the adapter clockwise
until it sits fl ush with the cartridge compartment.
CAUTION: • Do not over tighten the adapter.
• If the end plate of the piston rod doesn’t sit fl ush against the cartridge
plunger, remove the plastic cartridge from the compartment.
Repeat Steps 7 and 8 until the plastic cartridge is correctly inserted.
Then go to Step 9.
Step 9: Press the Check key to confi rm that the plastic cartridge has been inserted
correctly. Your insulin pump will perform its self-test procedure automatically.
CAUTION: Check to see that the infusion set luer-lock connector is still connected
correctly to the adapter.
When the start-up procedure is fi nished, the PRIME THE INFUSION SET screen is displayed
on your pump.
