Prime Infusion Set
After your pump has completed the start-up procedure for changing the plastic cartridge, the
pump will prompt you to prime the infusion set.
CAUTION: Never prime an infusion set that is connected to your body.
Step 1: If your pump times out, press the Menu key to move to the PRIME THE
INFUSION SET screen.
Step 2: Press the Check key to select. The 25 unit priming amount will
be displayed.
Step 3: Press and hold the Check key until the pump plays a melody and the piston
rod moves forward.
Step 4: The priming process will start now, and a count-up is displayed. Your insulin pump
will automatically stop priming after 25 units.
Step 5: When the priming process is fi nished, your insulin pump will return to STOP mode.
