  If there is no outdoor sensor reception, relocate the display and/or the 5-in-1 sensor, ensuring they are within 330 ft (100 m) of each other. Keep both units at least 3 feet (.9 m) away from electronics that may cause interference. Use standard alkaline batteries (or lithium batteries in the sensor when the temperature is below -4ºF/-20ºC), avoiding heavy-duty or rechargeable batteries. To synchronize the units, bring both the sensor and display indoors, remove power adapter/batteries from each, reinstall batteries in the outdoor sensor, reinstall power adapter/batteries in the display and let them sit close to each other for a few minutes to establish a strong connection.

  If your AcuRite Weather Station is not registering rainfall, check that the rain gauge stabilizer (plastic tab) has been removed from the bottom of the sensor. Also, clear any debris, such as leaves, from the rain collector funnel and debris screen.

  If the outdoor temperature is flashing or showing dashes on your AcuRite Weather Station, ensure that the A-B-C switch in the battery compartments of both the display and sensor are switched to the same letter. Sometimes, changing to a different channel can also resolve this issue.

  If your AcuRite Weather Station is showing inaccurate temperature or humidity readings, make sure the display and 5-in-1 sensor are away from heat sources and vents. Also, ensure they are positioned away from moisture sources. The 5-in-1 sensor should be mounted at least 5 ft off the ground. You may also need to calibrate the indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity.

Why is USB connectivity not working on my AcuRite 06006?

  To troubleshoot USB connectivity, first verify the display is in USB mode 3. Then, unplug the USB from the display to the computer for 20 seconds, and then plug it back in. Also, check that the batteries are installed correctly and replace them if needed. Finally, reset the display by pressing the reset button on the back. Note that you will need to enter the date and time after a reset.

  If you cannot access data online or on the AcuRite mobile app, verify that data was received from the indoor display under Status. The timestamp should update every 18-36 seconds. Also, verify that you have created an account, that the PC the display is connected to is always powered ON and connected to the internet, and that ‘Sharing’ is enabled in the PC Connect software on your PC.
