  To re-establish communication between the AcuRite Weather Station display and the outdoor sensor, try the following steps: * Relocate the display and/or the 5-in-1 sensor, ensuring they are within 330 ft (100 m) of each other. * Keep both units at least 3 feet (.9 m) away from electronics like TVs, microwaves, and computers that might cause interference. * Use standard alkaline batteries (or lithium batteries in the sensor for temperatures below -4ºF/-20ºC). Avoid heavy-duty or rechargeable batteries. * Synchronize the units by bringing both indoors, removing power from each, reinstalling batteries in the sensor first, then the display, and letting them sit close together for a few minutes to establish a strong connection.

  If your AcuRite Weather Station is not registering rainfall, check that the rain gauge stabilizer (plastic tab) has been removed from the bottom of the sensor. Also, clear any debris, such as leaves, from the rain collector funnel and debris screen.

  If the outdoor temperature is flashing or showing dashes on your AcuRite Weather Station, ensure that the A-B-C switch in the battery compartments of both the display and sensor are switched to the same letter. Sometimes, changing to a different channel can also resolve this issue.

Also, ensure they are positioned away from moisture sources. The 5-in-1 sensor should be mounted at least 5 ft off the ground. You may also need to calibrate the indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity.
