6.3. Standard Functional Operation
6.3.1. Direct Mode
Whenever a key is pushed in the standard operating mode (menu function is not active!)
an acoustical feedback is delivered and the key's code is transmitted on-line, i.e. directly
to the lighting control desk if the option MODE - DIRECT is chosen / activated. There is
no confirmation needed, like e.g., use of the key SEND.
Whenever the key code is sent out to the desk, the 3 colour LED on the front panel turns
up red for a moment to indicate that a key is going to be sent to the receiver. The red
signal remains on during the establishment of the communication between the sender
and the receiver.
In parallel, a graphical antenna symbol appears on the display’s status line to indicate
that the system is trying to establish a communication between sender and receiver.
When the key code is finally transmitted correctly, the graphical symbol disappears, the
LED turns up green for a moment and a short beep is emitted if the corresponding
function BEEP ON is selected in the MENU.
If the communication fails, the system quits the communication set-up procedure after
30 seconds. If you do not want to wait so long, leave the procedure by pushing on CLear.
6.3.2. Command Line Mode
If the operation mode COMMAND LINE is chosen via MENU - MODE - COMMAND LINE,
any key (sequence) has to be confirmed via the key SEND before it is sent to the desk.
Whenever the button SEND is pushed to send the whole key sequence of up to the whole
display page (4 x 16 characters), the LED turns up red for a moment as long as key codes
of the stored sequence are being sent out.
Whenever the key sequence is sent out to the desk, the LED turn up in red for a moment
to indicate that a key is going to be sent to the receiver. The red signal remains on during
the establishment of the communication between sender and receiver. In parallel, a
graphical antenna symbol appears in the display’s status line to indicate that the system
is trying to establish a communication between sender and receiver.
When the key sequence is finally transmitted correctly, the antenna symbol disappears,
the LED turns up green for a moment and a short beep is emitted if the corresponding
function BEEP ON is selected in the MENU .
If the communication fails, the system quits the communication set-up procedure after
30 seconds. If you do not want to wait so long, leave the procedure by pushing on CLear.
