3.4 Calibration procedure
To perform a calibration:
1. From the Home screen, press
The Main menu displays.
2. Press CALIBRATION.
The system prompts you to log in.
3. Select yourself from the list of available users.
4. Enter your password and press Enter to open the
Calibration screen.
The following Calibration screens show instruments
configured for low range calibration (0, 500, and
1500 mOsm/kg H
2
O) and an instrument configured
for high range calibration (1500, 3000, and
4000mOsm/kg H
2
O)
Instrument configured for low range
calibration (0, 500, and 1500 mOsm/kg H
2
O)
Instrument configured for high range calibration
(1500,
3000, and 4000 mOsm/kg H
2
O)
5. Follow the onscreen instructions to test samples
from each specified standard five times.
NOTE: Test samples of known standards depending
on the configured operating range:
• Low range calibration
(0, 500, and 1500 mOsm/kg HO)
• HIGH range calibration
(1500, 3000, and 4000 mOsm/kg HO)
NOTE: Use the method for sample testing explained
in the Testing procedure section of the
OsmoTECH XT User’s Guide
(p/n 235005UG).
• After each successful calibration test, a green
checkmark appears in the calibration matrix and
the instrument prints DONE for that calibration
test.
