7.4 Recovering the Administrator account
If the following message appears on the instrument, it
indicates that the last active Administrator account is
locked out due to 5 incorrect password attempts.
Since no Administrator accounts are active to correct
this issue, only an Advanced Instruments service
technician can correct it.
1. The customer receives a unique recovery barcode
created by theOsmoUnlock software (p/n 235811).
The recovery barcode is unique to the device and
restores the default Administrator user with a
temporary password.
2. From the main menu, select DIAGNOSTICS >
BARCODE and scan the customer’s recovery barcode
using the instrument barcode scanner (see Barcode).
3. The following message indicates a successful account
recovery.
4. Exit to the main menu.
5. To fully restore the Administrator account, select
SETTINGS >DATE & TIME and log in to the Admin
account using the password of password1.
6. The instrument prompts you to enter in a new
Administrator password.
7. Follow the onscreen prompts to restore the
Administrator account.
Once the Administrator account is restored, users
logging in to this account can access all Admin-level
features on the instrument.
