Features and Functions 2
Using Statistics
The statistics math function applies to all measurement functions except
continuity and diode tests.
The statistics you may view for any set of readings are: average value
(AVG), maximum value (MAX), minimum value (MIN), standard deviation
(SDEV) and number of samples taken (COUNT). These are shown on the
second line of the display when the statistics math function is enabled,
and are updated in real time as subsequent readings are taken.
• Front Panel Operation: To enable statistics: Press to
display MATH. Press or as needed to select STATS, and press
. The Stats annunciator will turn on, indicating that statistics are
enabled. Press or as needed to scroll through the options of AVG,
MAX, MIN, SDEV and COUNT.
• Remote Interface Operation: The following command enables the statistics
function:
CALCulate:FUNCtion AVERage
The following queries return the mean, minimum value, maximum
value, standard deviation, peak–to–peak value, and number of readings,
respectively, since statistics were enabled or cleared.
