To fit the insert, ensure that the lip is
flush with the rear wall as indicated.
Air Filter
Clean the air filter insert after every 3
months or after every 25 operating
hours at the latest (earlier in very dusty
conditions). For this purpose, proceed
as follows:
Compact Version:
– Engine type CLASSIC 35
l Remove the screw and remove the
cap.
l Remove the filter insert and wash it
in non-foaming, warm suds. Do not use
detergents containing paraffine (petrol
etc.). Rinse it thoroughly in running wa-
ter, rinse until the water stays clear.
l Squeeze the insert like a sponge,
wrap it in cloth and press it until it is dry
l Soak the insert with some engine oil
and press surplus oil out
l Replace the insert in the filter pot to-
gether with the central piece.
l Attach the screw and tighten it
Comfort Version:
– Engine type Quantum XM45
l Remove the bolt and fold down the
cover.
l Tap the filter insert on a smooth sur-
face and wash it in non-foaming, warm
suds. Do not use detergents contain-
ing paraffine (petrol etc.). Rinse it inside
out in running water, rinse until the wa-
ter stays clear.
l Let the insert air-dry completely,
before you put it back in.
l Do not treat the insert with oil and do
not do not blow it clean with compressed
air.
l Replace a heavily soiled air-filter in-
sert (see wear parts).
