Soft IOM Reset
The soft IOM reset procedure is applicable during the ISSU process and for a manual soft reset
procedure. The impact to the data plane forwarding during the reboot process is minimized. The
command to perform a soft IOM reset is “clear card card-number soft”. During the process,
related show commands such as “show card” and “show mda” will indicate a soft IOM reset is
occurring.
