5.5 Wallboard Connections
Connections are made to the back panel of the wallboard. The Ethernet cable from the HUB is
connected to the RJ45 Ethernet plug directly. V24 and current-loop serial connections are
made to the plug-in connector.
2x16 wallboards in cascade are linked in current loop behind the first wallboard connected to
the Ethernet or V24. The distance between the first and last wallboards can not exceed 500m.
5.5.1 Ethernet Connections
Use the crossed Ethernet cable when the wallboard is connected to a PC directly.
To comply with EMC rules, the cable type must be FTP or STP.
5.5.2 V24 Connections
Pin 1 : SG
Pin 2 : TD
To comply with EMC rules, the cable must be shielded.
The shield must be connected to pin 1.
