5.5 Installing an intake/exhaust hose
• Measure out and cut to length the intake hose (75 mm dia.).
Cut the exhaust hose (50 mm dia.) approx. 50 mm longer than the intake hose when the hose length
is over 1 m.
• Insert the exhaust hose into the intake hose.
Then insert the extract hose (Fig. 7, item 7) and secure with the second hose clip (Fig. 7, item 8).
Follow the same procedure to install the hoses on the boiler.
• Clamp the hose (Fig. 7, item 9) with c/c 600 mm, or equivalent.
•
Check hose routing, to prevent water accumulating in the intake/exhaust hose.

5.6 Installing an expansion tank
• Install the expansion tank min. 200 mm higher than the highest point
on the system. Leave a gap of min. 220 mm above the expansion tank
installation.
• Install the vent hose (Fig. 10, item 1) vertically and clamp securely to
prevent kinks forming.
• Install the drain hose (Fig. 10, item 2) to achieve the shortest route from

In the case of dual zones, position the expansion tank before the zone divider or on the common
return to the boiler. See page 43.
