5.11 Connection to fresh water system
For the built-in water heater in the boiler to work, it must be connected to the vehicle fresh water sys-
tem. A mixer valve must be fitted to prevent excessively hot water from reaching the taps; part number
3102003 (Only applies to Alde Compact 3030 Plus).
Incoming fresh water is marked in blue (Fig. 15/16, item 4).
Outgoing hot water is marked in red (Fig. 15/16, item 5).
• -
ty valve / drain valve. If the incoming pressure to the hot water heater exceeds 0.3 MPa (3 bar),
a pressure reduction valve must be installed. This must be set at max. 0.3 MPa (3 bar) and have
a capacity of at least 5 l/min.
• A non-return valve must also be installed between the water pump and the safety valve / drain
• 3030 Plus: To make sure the system can be drained of water and avoid freezing, also install
a safety valve / drain valve on the hot water output.
To make sure the safety valve and drain valve are both opened when draining, install them next
to each other.
• 3030 Plus: To ensure safe hot water pressure, install a fresh water pump that is able to withstand
a 0.3 bar back pressure but still supply 5 l /min.
Long water pipes and additional accessories can increase system back pressure, thereby placing
higher demand on the fresh water pump.
