  If the AlienTech Test Equipment tool cannot perform reading or writing, ensure the red LED on the left side of the tool is lit. If not, contact Technical Support for repair. Verify you're using the correct, undamaged cable properly connected between KESSv2 and the vehicle or ECU, and that the ECU is powered. Also, confirm you've selected the correct Family for the vehicle or ECU. Check that the green LED is lit while communicating with the vehicle or ECU. If issues persist, contact Technical Support with the error code and a detailed description of the operations performed.
