6 Electrical installation
Basic information on the electrical connection
Comply with the electromagnetic compatibility
regulations (EMC regulations)
Use 4-wire flexible cable type LiYY, EKKX (or
equivalent) with a cable cross-section from min.
0.2 mm² – max. 0.34 mm² plus ferrules. Max.
cross-section of the cable plug-in terminals:
0.5 mm². Stripping length: 7 – 9 mm.
Maximum cable length between room control unit
and control unit of the heating and heat pump
controller: 30 m (prerequisite: connection cable
between control unit of the heating and heat pump
controller and board of the heating and heat pump
controller ≤ 3 m).
Connect the electrical cables
The room control unit communicates with the heating
and heat pump controller as well as the power supply
via the RS485 interface on the control unit of the heat-
ing and heat pump controller.
1. Disconnect the heat pump and heating and heat
pump controller from the power supply and se-
cure against accidental reactivation.
2. Connect the cable to the RS485 interface of the
control unit of the heating and heat pump control-
ler.

3. Connect the cable to the terminal X1 of the room
control unit.

4. Hang the room control unit directly on the wall or
clip into the wall holder.
The micro USB connection (= lower side of the
room control unit) must point toward the floor.
5. Remove the protective film from the touch display.
6. Reconnect the power supply to the heat pump
and the heating and heat pump controller.
7. Set the operating switch of the room control unit
to the ‘On’ position.
