Troubleshooting
PROformance: No Smoke Production During the Smoke Cycle
Make sure the smoke tray is installed with pre-soaked wood
chips and that the smoke icon has been selected on the touch
control.
Steam production and humidity control vents take priority
over smoke production.
Is the smoke relay coil being energized?
No
Determine which side of the coil voltage is missing and
correct.
• Terminal14 of the smoke relay is L1 supplied from the
Option Board(OB) X01 pin2.
• Terminal12 of the smoke relay is L2 supplied from the
terminalblock45 pin6.
Yes
Is L2 being supplied to terminal12 on the smoke relay?
No
Repair the wiring issue between terminal12 on the smoke
relay and the terminalblock45 pin5.
Yes
Is L2 being supplied to smoke relay pin8?
No
Replace the faulty smoke relay.
Yes
Is there line voltage across the smoke element?
No
Determine which leg is missing and correct.
• L1 is constantly supplied to the smoke element from fuse
F8(replace fuse if blown).
• L2 is supplied from the smoke relay pin8. Repair wiring as
needed.
Yes
Is the smoke element drawing current?
No
Replace the faulty element.
Yes
Smoke production should be taking place.
