Troubleshooting
PROformance, Electric with Boiler: No Steam Generator Fill
Are the High Water Level Probe B1 and Low Water Level
Probe B2 reading empty?
No
The control will not energize the Y1 fill solenoid until the
water level drops below the B2 sensing probe. If the tank is
known to be empty, investigate for scale build up and/or a
shorted water level probe.
Yes
Is the Y1 steam injection solenoid being energized?
No
Determine which side of the solenoid coil voltage is missing
and correct:
• A1 is L1 supplied from Control Board(CB) terminalX04
pin3.
• A2 is L2 supplied from A2 Y3 which is supplied from
terminalblock27-17.
Yes
Is the Y1 solenoid opening?
No
Make sure the connected water pressure does not exceed 90
psi and/or replace the faulty solenoid.
Yes
Is the generator filling with water?(It should take
approximately 45 seconds to satisfy the B2 sensing probe.)
No
Check for an obstruction or leak between the Y1 solenoid and
the steam generator. Also check if the water supply is turned
o or disconnected, or check for a plugged filter cartridge.
Yes
Is the B2 water level probe satisfied? If not, water should be
exiting the steam exit port inside the appliance cavity.
No
Investigate for scale build up inside the tank, around the
water level probes and/or faulty water level probe assembly.
Yes
Is the B1 water level probe satisfied? The B1 water level
probe should satisfy approximately 10-15 seconds aer B2.
No
Investigate for scale build up inside the tank, around the
water level probes and/or faulty water level probe assembly.
Yes
Does the Y1 solenoid de-energize?
No
Investigate the Control Board(CB).
Yes
Does the Y1 solenoid close and stop the fill cycle?
No
Ensure the water pressure meets minimum and maximum
requirements and/or replace the faulty solenoid valve.
Yes
The fill cycle is complete.
