attaching a camera to the Shamrock
If the spectrograph is not supplied with a camera/detector attached, refer to the guidelines below and also
the user or installation guide(s) provided with your camera/detector.
1. Remove the blanking plate from the spectrograph.
2. Hold the camera horizontally, locate it on the ange and replace the screws.
3. Loosen the rotation locking screws.
4. Ensure the camera is free to rotate.
5. Once the camera is in the correct position, use the screw underneath the front of the camera at the bottom of
the ange to unlock the focusing ring.
6. Finally, check that the focusing ring is free to rotate.
7. The camera is now ready for electrical connection (see Section 3.2.1 on page 27).
NOTE: This will differ depending on the type of camera being used.
