3.3.2 Installing the Fixed Feeds Unit (174255) on the Reflector Base - Refer to Figure 3-4 and Table 3-6.
The Fixed Feeds Unit consists of the dual feed assemblies mounted to the feed support. The unit has
been preassembled and optimized at Andrew=s test range. All feed components, brackets, mounting
plates and threaded rods have been match drilled and pinned together to prevent any disturbance of
the feed settings.

a. Using the crane, attach a sling to the lifting eye already attached to the Feed Support on the
Fixed Feeds unit. With one person balancing the load, lift into position at the front of the
reflector base.
b. Carefully align the two mating surfaces and loosely install the qty.4, 3/4-10 x 2.5" lg. A-325
bolts, nuts, flat washers and lock washers as shown in Figure 3-4.
c. Align the two 3/8" diameter holes in the two mounting surfaces and install the spring pins.
d. Tighten the 3/4-10 hardware to 260 foot- pounds.
e. Remove the lifting angle from the Feed Support and set aside. It is no longer required.
