d. At each cardinal point, tilt the rule in the vertical and horizontal planes until the minimum distance is
found between the hole and the optical plane. Verify that each dimension is within 1/4 inch of that
given in the contour chart supplied with the system data (172945). Maximum variation error from
one station to another should be no greater than 1/4 inch. If the station error exceeds 1/4 inch,
confirm data before contacting the supplier.
3.3.13 Installing the Feed Counterweights to the Fixed Feeds Unit - Refer to Figure 3-14
a. Attach the qty.12 Feed Counterweights to the top plate of the Feed Support using the qty.4, 18”lg.

counterweights are equally to top and bottom of plate.
3.3.14 Installing the Antenna Counterweights - Refer to Figure 3-14 and Drawing 174407 packed with kit.
a. To install the counterweights the two 38 inch long threaded rods must be inserted through one side of
the Feed Support and flat washers, lock washers and nuts started part way onto the threaded rods
before pushing through the other side of the feed support. When the threaded rods are equal length on
both sides of the Feed support, tighten the 3/4" hardware to 105 Foot Pounds.
b. Install counterweights to both sides (Refer to counterweight chart located on Feed Support Arm for
appropriate weight for specific elevation settings) of the Feed Support onto the threaded rods then
assemble flat washer, lock washers and nuts and tighten to 105 Foot Pounds.
