CAUTION
IN HANDLING ALL WAVEGUIDE COMPONENTS, TAKE CARE TO AVOID
DENTING THE WALLS, SCRATCHING OR MARRING THE FLANGE SEALING
SURFACES, TO GUARD AGAINST ENTRY OF MOISTURE AND FOREIGN
MATTER INTO THE WAVEGUIDE.
Note: When installing flange hardware, alternate the sequence of bolt tightening. This is the preferred
method of assembly for gasketed joints. Ensure that gaskets are in place on all flange connections.
The following sealant application procedure must be used for sealing all waveguide flange
connections. Refer to Figure 3-8.
1. Dip all screws into polysulfide sealant (item 18) covering all threads.
