11 Computer Interface
Your AquaLab may connect to your computer using USB or RS232.
Your AquaLab was shipped to you with a standard USB cable. Using
this cable, you can send water activity data to a computer for further
analysis and storage. The interface is run through the AquaLink 4
Software or a terminal communication program.
Note: You must install the USB driver before connecting the USB
Cable to your computer. You can install from the CD included with
your AquaLab or download here: www.aqualab.com/aqualink.
11.1 AquaLink 4 Software
An optional software program, AquaLink 4, is available for use with
your AquaLab. AquaLink 4 is a Windows based program designed
for data collection and customized report generation for all AquaLab
models. AquaLink 4 logs water activity, temperature, time of mea-
surement, and date stamps along with other information. AquaLink
4 also has sample identification and comment fields that you can use
to help annotate the data your AquaLab is gathering.
A 30 day trial CD of this program was included with your instrument.
If you are interested in purchasing the full version of AquaLink 4,
contact Decagon or your local distributor. If you have purchased the
AquaLab 4TE DUO you will automatically receive the full version
of AquaLink 4 with your manual. Figure 5 shows a screen shot of
the AquaLink 4 program.
