Music on Hold (MoH) (SB35025 Deskset only)
Music on Hold (MoH) is not playing.
MoH audio is interrupted.
Probable Cause Corrective Action
MoH is disabled.
Log on to the WebUI as administrator. On the
Hold Settings page, enable Music on Hold. Set
Select Port for the Deskset to which the Music
on Hold source is connected, then click .
MoH source is not properly
connected.
Verify that an audio source is connected to a
SB35025 Deskset’s AUX I/O port.
MoH not properly configured.
Verify that the audio source is playing and not
muted.
Set the MoH output volume level by adjusting the
playback volume of the music source device. You
may need to set the volume near the maximum.
Some MoH sources without volume controls, such
as those with audio-out jacks, are usually very
loud and might be too loud.
Syn248 limits the volume of the sound delivered
to the phone line. Because of this, there may be
audio clipping (missing sounds) for some sources.
Use different hold music. Some types of music
sound better than others when played across a
telephone line. For example, classical music with
extreme volume fluctuations may not sound very
good when used as MoH.
Verify that Hold Announcement is not playing a
silent message. See “Configuring Hold Settings”
on page 49.
Probable Cause Corrective Action
Hold Announcement is
enabled.
The Hold Announcement is a feature that repeats
a recorded audio clip at regular intervals during
MoH. See “Configuring Hold Settings” on page 49.
