Therefore, the following process should be applied to an impulse tool:
For the impulse tools the test window shows an additional parameter:
The Att. Coeff. Can be used to correct the difference between the torque measured on the bench and the
residual torque measured on the real joint; in order to calculate the coefficient, some tests should be
performed on the bench and some tests on the actual joint. This coefficient is strongly related to the bench
transducer and real joint; if either the bench transducer or the joint on which the tool is assigned change,
the coefficient must be re-calculated. For example, assume that the residual torque check on the joint gives
100 Nm, and the torque measured on the transducer is 120 Nm; in that case the coefficient is 100/120 =
0.83
When testing an impulse tool, the Freq field is shown in the test results window; this indicates the number
of pulses per second generated by the tool.
