This reminder appears along with the .,. symbo l if t he master key is
removed from the vehicle with t he e ngi ne running . It is intended to
remind you (e.g. when cha nging dr ivers) not to cont inue t he journey
without t he maste r key.
If th e mast e r key is no longe r in th e vehicle, you canno t switch off t he
ignition after stopping the engine and you a lso cannot start t he
eng ine aga in. You also canno t lock t he vehicle fr om the outs ide. •

If the sym bol illuminates, the light senso r has fa iled . For safety
reaso ns t he low beams are t urned on permanently wit h t he sw itch in
AUTO . However, you can continue to t urn the lights on an d off using
the light sw itch. In t he case of a defec t in t he ra in se nso r, t he wind-
shield wipe r leve r functions are still ava ila ble. Have the light/rain
sensor checked as soon as poss ible by an auth orized Audi de al e r. •

The defectiv e light bulb warning monitors the functi on of
th e lig ht bulbs in th e vehicle.
The defe ctive light bulb war ning monitors t he funct ion of t he ligh t
bulbs . If a defective light bu lb is detected , or if a light bu lb has
burned out , a ye llow symb ol appe ar s as we ll as a not ificat ion t hat
shows which light bulb is defective.

If this symbol t lights up, a turn signal (front or rear), a head lamp, a
bra ke light , t he back-up light , a fog lamp or a rea r fog lam p has
fa iled .
& WARNING
• Light bulbs are under pressure and can explode when bulbs are
replaced - risk of injury .
• With gas-discharge lamps* (xenon headlights) , the high-
voltage component must be handled appropriately. Doing other-
wise poses a risk of death!
