Improper use of tether anchorages or lower anchorages can cause
serious personal injury in a crash.
• Always carefully follow the child restraint manufacturer's
instructions for proper installation and use of child restraint
system s.
• Never use the
LATCH or tether anchorages to attach safety
belts or other kinds of occupant restraints.
• Child restraint tether attachments and lower attachments are
only designed to s ecure a child restraint that has been equipped to
use these anchorages .
• Tether anchorages and lower anchorages are designed to with-
stand only those loads imposed by correctly fitted child restraints.
Under no circumstances can they be used s afely for adult or child
safety belts or harnesses .
• Never mount more than one child restraint to a single teth e r or
to a lower anchorage point. Attaching two child rest raints to a
single anchorage point can cause the anchorage to fail and cause
serious personal injury in a crash.

upright position and sec urely latc he d in place.
- Attac h both hoo k-on con nectors with the spring catc h
release on the ch ild safety sea t on t o the LATCH lower
anchora g e so t hat t he connectors lock into place

- Pull on t he connector attach m ents to ma ke sure they are
properly at t ached to th e LATCH lower a ncho ra ge.
