Locking and unlock ing the vehicle from
inside
The vehicle can be locked or unlocked from the inside
using the power locking switch.

How to lock all doors simultaneously
- Press the upper part of the power locking switch@ ~ & -
How to unlock all doors simultaneously
- Press lower part of t he switch@ .
How to unlock each door separately using the
door handle
- Pull the door handle once to release the lock .
- Pull the ha ndle to open t he door .
If you lock the vehicle using the power locking switch , please note
the follow ing :
• You cannot open the doors or the rear lid from the
outside
(increased security, for example when you ar e sto pped at a red light) .
• You can unlock and open the doors from the inside by pu lling on
t he doo r handle .
• If the driver's door is ope ned (after you have locked the vehicle
from t he inside using the power locking sw itch), t he door will remain
unlocked to prevent you from locki ng yourself out of you r vehicle .
Afte r you close the doo r, you have to lock the driver's door aga in.
• If you have a crash and the airbag is activated, the doors automat-
ically unlo ck.
& WARNING
• If you use the power locking swit ch with the doors closed,
remember that all the vehicle doors wil l lock.
• locking doors from the inside can help prevent inadvertent
door opening during an accident and can also prevent unwanted
entry from the out s ide. Locked doo rs can, however, delay ass is-
tance to vehicle occupants and hold up rescue efforts from the
outside in an accident or other emergen cy. •
Emergency locking
If the power locking system fails (power failure), you will
need to lock the passenger door separately.
