- Move the wipers to the service position=> page 56 .
- Fold the windshield wiper arm away from the glass .
- On the upper end of the wiper arm at the corrugation,
squeeze the plastic retainer together on both sides in the
direct ion of the arrow=>
page 56, fig . 51 .
- Rotate t he wiper blade in the direction of t he arrow @
=> fig.
52 away from the w iper arm .
- Lift the wi per blade off in the direc t ion of t he arrow @ .
Attaching the wiper blade
- Place the rounded end of the wiper onto the end of t he
wiper arm in the opposite direction to the arrow @
=> fig .

- Swing the wiper in the opposite direction to the arrow @
onto the wiper arm.
- Squeeze the corrugation on the wiper until you hear it cli ck
in t he wiper arm .
- Fold t he wipe r arm back onto t he windshield.
- Move the wipers to the park position=>
page 56.

Safety first
Clear v ision
The front wiper blades measure left side 23 .20 in. (590 mm) and
right side 18.5 0 in. (470 mm) in leng t h,
Clean your wiper blades regularly with a windshield washer so lution
to prevent streaking. If the blades are very dirty, for example with
insects, caref ully clean the blades with a sponge or a sof t brush.
If the wiper blades begin to streak the windshield, this could be
caused by res idue left on the windsh ie ld by automatic car washes.
Fill the windshield washer container with a special solution ava ilable
at your authorized Audi dealer to remove the residue.
Be sure to inspect the cond it ion of your w iper blades regu larly. For
safety reasons, replace your wiper blades once or twice a year if
necessary . See your authorized Audi dealer for replaceme nt blades.

- Always loosen blades which are frozen to the windshield befo re
operating wipers.
- Do not use gasoline, kerosene, paint thinner, or other solvents
on or near the wiper blades .
- Do not attempt to move the wipers by hand. _.,
