Engine oil temperature indicator
If the engine oil temperature is below 140 °F
(60 °C), the
't:::;r1 symbo l followed by three hy-
phens"- - -" and the °C unit is shown .
The engine has reached its operating tempe r-
ature when the engine oil t empera tu re is be-
tween
176 °F (80 °C) and 248 °F (120 °C) un-
der normal driving conditions. The engine oil
temperature may be higher if there is heavy
engine load and high temperatures outside .
This is not a cause for concern as long as the

in the display does not flash.
Lap timer
Introduction

You can record and eva luate lap t imes with
the lap timer in the display

fig. 22. The time is measured in minutes, sec-
onds and 1/10 seconds . The hours are also
shown when the lap time exceeds 60 minutes .
The maximum individual measurement is 99
hours.

When the lap timer stopwatch is running,
you can call up the trip computer informa-
tion with the IRESETI button .

Calling up the lap timer

the lap timer c:::> fig . 22 appears.
Timing laps
.,. To start tim ing, press the upper section of
the wiper switch @ . The time measurement
is shown in line CD c:::> fig. 22.
.,. To stop timing, press the upper section of
the wiper switch @ again . This also starts
timing the next round. The previous time
moves one line up, first to line @ and the n
to line @ . Line @) shows the current lap
number, for example LAP 5 .
Displaying intermediate time and pausing

lower section of the wiper switch @ . The in-
termediate time appears in line
CD and is
marked with* .
