Emergency release for rear lid
If the rear lid cannot be opened, an emergen-
cy release is provided .

Anti-theft alarm
system
The anti-theft alarm triggers an alarm if any-
one attempts to break into the vehicle.

The anti -theft alarm system triggers an audi -
ble a larm and turns on the emergency flasher
if an unauthorized interference with the vehi-
cle is sensed by the system .
How is th e anti-theft alarm syst em
sw itched on?
The anti-theft alarm system is switched on
when you lock the driver's door man ua lly us-
ing the fo ld-out key, or when you use the re-
mote control. The system is activated approx i-
mately 30 seconds after the vehicle is locked .

How is the anti-theft alarm system
switched off?
The anti-theft alarm system is switched off
on ly when you use t he remo t e control to un-
lock your vehicle. If you do not open a doo r
within 30 seconds after you have unlocked
with the remote control, the veh icle will lock
itse lf aga in a utomat ica lly.
If you lock ju st the d river's door using your
key, t he fron t passenger's door and the rear
lid remain loc ked .
When will the anti th eft alarm system be
triggered?
When t he vehicle is locked, t he a larm system
monitors and protects the following parts of
the vehicle:
- eng ine compartment
- luggage compartment
- doors
- ign ition
When the system is activated , the alarm will
be triggered if one of the doors, t he engine
hood or the rear lid are opened, or if the igni-
t ion is turned on .
The anti -t heft alarm system will also go off
when the battery is disconnected .
You can also tr igger t he ala rm by pressing t he
PANIC button on your remo t e-control key.
