The benefit of adaptive light is that the curve
and the edge of the road are better illuminat-
ed

When driving a round bends, the head lights
are contro lled according to steer ing whee l an -
g le. So that there is no black area ahead of the
vehicle, the two main beams pivot at different
angles .

The system works above a speed of about
6 mph (10 km/h).

Use the light switch to turn on the f ront fog

Turn signals and high beam lever
The lever on the left side of the steering col-
umn is used to operate the turn signals and
the high beam as well as the headlight flash-
er.

The turn signa l and high beam lever has t he

• Lift the leve r up a ll the way c::> fig. 48 (D to

Auto-blink
• Move the lever (up or down) just to the
point of res istance to use the turn signals
for as long as you need t hem, for example
when changing lanes .
• Briefly move the lever up or down just to
the point of resistance and then releas e it to
flash the turn s ignals
three times in succes-
sion .
This f eature allows to ind icate lane
changes clearly and with m inimum effort
when driving o n highways .
High beam ~D
• Push the lever forward @ to switch on the
high beam .

the high beam .
