Cylinder / Head Valve
Cylinder head installation:
• Install cam chain on to sprocket and align the
timing mark on the sprocket with that of
cylinder head.
• Align sprocket bolt hole with camshaft bolt hole.
• Tighten the sprocket mounting bolts.
CAUTION
• Make sure timing marks are matched.
• Install the lock washer so that it is covering the
locating pin.
• Bend up the washer
tongue positively to
lock bolts.
• Align the line A on the
generator rotor with
the index mark B on
the crankcase.
• Loosen auto tensioner adjustment bolt and remove
bolt and spring.
• Install tensioner and install spring and adjustment
bolt.
• Install thermostat (2 bolts)
• Install cylinder cover (3 bolts)
• Install and tighten spark plug.
• Torque value: 7 - 10 ft/lbs
