B.1.3 Speed amplifier
Setting CONFIG to _cfVELOCITY configures the MintDrive
II
as a speed amplifier, as shown in
Figure 54. Here, a speed reference obtained from a specified source (e.g. a Mint program, the
W orkBench v5 Command window , the analog demand input, or Fieldbus) provides targets for
a speed profiler. The profiler generates a speed demand signal that smoothly changes
between successive speed targets. This speed demand signal is fed into the speed controller ,
and the remaining system operates as described in section B.1.1.
