Grid Code DECS-150
See Figure 10-18.
Figure 10-18. Power Factor: Positive
When the power factor is negative, reactive power is being imported. Applying an adjustment results in
the following:
1. Application of a positive adjustment results in a decrease of imported reactive power. Thus, the
power factor value will decrease (become more negative) or move toward PF = -1.0.
2. Application of a negative adjustment results in an increase of imported reactive power. Thus, the
power factor value will increase (become less negative) or move away from PF = -1.0.
See Figure 10-19.

Adjustment Sources
The Q(PF) setpoint may be adjusted by the DECS-150 auxiliary input, or via remote communication
(Modbus
®
). For all adjustment sources, the value of the Q(PF) Gain setting is applied to the value read
from the selected input. Refer to the Modbus Communication section for more information on adjusting
the setpoint via remote communication.
