GB Double Sound Speed Controller SFR-1-D
01.03.2020 BEIER-Electronic 57
There are also 3 different variants possible for controlling the two motors via an
electronic differential. Here, both motors are always controlled together via the
throttle channel #1. The electronic differential sets the ratio as the speed is
distributed to both motors. This variant is not suitable for tracked vehicles, because
steering is not possible.
• At "Differential via throttle curves", throttle curve 1 sets the speed for motor
M1. The throttle curve 2 sets the speed for motor M2.
• With „Differential via X2“ the speed distribution is controlled via prop #2. If #2
is neutral, both motors are running at the same speed. According to direction
and level of #2, the speed of one motor is reduced proportionally. The value
(10 – 100%) indicates the speed of the slower motor at full range of #2.
• At "Differential with fixed value", the speed ratio of the two motors is set via a
fixed value. Motor M1 is always the faster motor. Motor M2 is the slower
motor. For example, with a value of 50 %, motor M2 always runs half the
speed of motor M1.
Channel reversion
In case a motor is running in the opposite direction (backwards instead of forwards) it
can be inverted here.
With dual mixer it is also possible to invert the steering while driving backwards.
Load regulation
With activated load regulation one of the different regulation intensities (light,
medium and heavy) can be set here.
Inertia
To simulate a very heavy vehicle the option mass inertia can be activated here.
Acceleration and decelaration are slowed down for a realistic driving behaviour. Keep
in mind: the vehicle also has a longer stopping distance!
With a proportional channel or a nautic/multiswitch and the function “Intertia light,
medium, heavy and off“ different intensities of inertia can be set while driving.
Hardness of handbrake
Here you can determine how strong (off, soft, medium, hard) the handbrake is.
The handbrake can be active only while parking/standing. Without this option, the
handbrake hits as soon as the throttle is in neutral position and the vehicle is still
rolling.
Recoil when cannon shot
If the “Cannon shot” function is triggered, a recoil of the model can be simulated. For
this purpose, motors M1 and M2 are briefly driven backwards and then immediately
forwards again. There are 4 levels (off, light, medium, heavy) to choose from.
However, the recoil is only performed when the model is stationary.
Caution: Since the mechanics, the gearbox, the motors and the speed controllers are
very stressed during the recoil, the strength of the recoil should not be set too high!
