2.3 Intended use
The voltage monitor VME420 monitors AC/DC systems in the frequency range
DC/15…460 Hz for undervoltage, overvoltage, underfrequency and overfre-
quency. The devices are designed for the nominal voltage range

= 0…300 V. Separate supply voltage U

is required.
In order to meet the requirements of the applicable standards, customised pa-
rameter settings must be made on the equipment in order to adapt it to local
equipment and operating conditions. Please heed the limits of the range of
application indicated in the technical data.
Any use other than that described in this manual is regarded as improper.
