MULTI-PURPOSE FOOT
With The Gathering Attachment

• Following the instructions in the Owner’s manual thread the serger for a 4-thread overlock stitch using
both needles.
• Set all thread tension levers to normal (3-5).
• Set stitch length to 3mm.
• Adjust differential feed to 2.
• Attach the Multi-Purpose Foot (no guide), following the directions in the instruction manual for the
Multi-Purpose Foot with Guide.
• Attach the Attachment Base.
• Attach the Gathering Attachment following the directions in the instruction leaflet for the Gathering
Attachment.
• Wrap the bias strip around the cord and place the wrapped cord in the groove under the foot.
• Take 2 or 3 stitches into the fabric and lower the needles into the fabric.
• Place the 3” x 18” fabric under the Gathering Attachment and next to the needles.
• Serge, covering the cord, gathering the fabric strip and seaming all layers together.
• Mount the sample on the following page.
