10.3 Turning On the Pump
Quick Steps
1. Press the On/Off button.
Notes
During startup, the pump conducts an automatic self-test of all critical functions,
including the motor, bubble sensor, buttons, speaker (long beep), and LEDs. If it
detects an internal error, the pump issues a repeating high priority alarm tone,
the internal error indicator lights, and an error appears on the screen. (See 14,
Errors and Troubleshooting.)
If the pump detects bubbles after you turn it on, the screen displays a bubble
indicator and the Flush button flashes. (See 10.6, Flushing to
Remove Bubbles from the Tubing and Catheter.)
If you open the pump door when the pump is on and there is no irrigation flow,
the screen displays the open door indicator .
After successful startup, the ready screen appears (see the figure in 9.3,
Controls on the Front of the Pump) and displays the last flow settings that were
used before the pump was turned off.
10.4 Turning Off the Pump
Quick Steps
1. Press and hold the On/Off button for approximately 3 seconds.
Notes
After the pump has been turned off, power continues to be supplied to the pump
through the AC adapter. To completely cut off power to the pump, disconnect the
AC adapter.
