pared for unusual engine be-
havior (low power, poor re-
sponse, abrupt stalling, etc.).
Have the malfunction corrected
as soon as possible at an au-
thorized workshop, preferably
an authorized BMW Motorrad
retailer.
Severe engine fault
flashes.
Possible cause:
The engine control unit has diag-
nosed a severe fault.
The engine is in its emer-
gency operation mode.
There is a potential risk of dam-
age to the engine.
Adapt riding style: Ride slowly,
avoid accelerating and overtaking.
If possible, have motorcycle
picked up and the malfunction
source eliminated by a
specialized service facility,
preferably an authorized
BMW Motorrad Dealer.

Rear light failure

Rear light, brake light or rear
