Expanding the Routing View
In this example:
• The 'HDMI RX' channel on the D20H-RX-02258 receiver is subscribed to the 'HDMI TX' channel on
the D20H-TX-02254 transmitter.
This subscription would cause Dante AV video from the D20H-TX-02254 to be streamed to D20H-
RX-02258 and output to the display connected with the D20H-RX-02258.
• The 'Left' and 'Right' audio channels on the D20H-RX-02258 audio receiver are subscribed to the 'Left'
and 'Right' TX channels on the D20H-TX-02254 transmitter.
These subscriptions would cause the left and right audio channels from the D20H-TX-02254 audio
transmitter to be output via the HDMI of D20H-RX-02258.
• The 'Serial' ancillary channel on the D20H-TX-022454 receiver is subscribed to the equivalent
channels on the D20H-RX-022458 transmitter.
These subscriptions would enable serial control RS-422 on the transmitter (decoder) via the Serial
control ports RS-422 on the receiver (encoder).
• The 'Serial' ancillary channel on the D20-RX-022458 receiver is subscribed to the equivalent
channels on the D20H-TX-022454 transmitter.
These subscriptions would enable serial control RS-422 on the transmitter (encoder) via the Serial
control ports RS-422 on the receiver (decoder).
Routing View
When Dante Controller is started, it always displays the Routing Tab within the Network View. In this view the network
is shown in the form of a grid. Devices with Tx channels are displayed along the top row of the grid, and those with Rx
channels are displayed along the left-hand column of the grid. Initially a collapsed view is presented; individual channels
cannot be seen automatically.
Note: If a device name is shown in red, it means Dante Controller has automatically detected an error condition. Double-
click the device name to see more information. Refer to Automatic Notification of Device Errors for further explanation.
Note: Bolin Dante AV encoder and decoder has both Tx and Rx channels, it is shown along the top row of the grid and
along the left-hand edge.
