12) Fuel Tank Cap
Quest MAX and Traxter MAX Series
Unscrew counterclockwise and remove
cap to allow fuel tank filling then fully
tighten clockwise.
13) Fuel Gauge
Quest MAX and Traxter MAX Series
Located under cluster, the gauge shows
an approximate amount of the fuel in
tank.
14) Fuel Valve
Located on left side panel under front
part of seat. This is a 3-position rotary
valve: OFF, ON, RES. Rotate the knob to
align its pointer with ON, OFF or RES.
QUEST MAX SERIES

1. Align this pointer toward the desired position
OFF
Stops fuel supply to carburetor.
CAUTION: Turn valve to OFF posi-
tion when the vehicle is not being
operated or when transporting.
ON
Allows fuel to flow to carburetor. This
is the normal position for operation of
the vehicle.
WARNING
Always stop engine before refuel-
ing. Open cap slowly. If a differential
pressure condition is noticed (whis-
tling sound heard when loosening
fuel tank cap) have vehicle inspected
and/or repaired before further oper-
ation. Fuel is flammable and explo-
sive. Never use an open flame to
check fuel level. Never smoke or al-
low flame or spark in vicinity. Always
work in a well-ventilated area. Never
top off the fuel tank before placing
the vehicle in a warm area. As tem-
perature increases, fuel expands
and may overflow. Always wipe off
any fuel spillage from the vehicle.
