1 5 When a KSM/KMS with optional safety technology is to be
a safety zone node within a safety zone, the connection
point X141 must be equipped with the connector
RBS0023.
The connector RBS0023 jumpers the following
connections (signal names of safety technology in
brackets):
● 5 ↔ 1 [SI_Ch1_In ↔ SI_Ch1]
● 7 ↔ 2 [SI_Ch2_In ↔ SI_Ch2]
● 6 ↔ 10 [SI_0V_In ↔ SI_0V]
● 11 ↔ 3 [GND_SI ↔ Zone_Br]
KSM/KMS without optional safety technology can be
operated within a safety zone without the connector
RBS0023, because the signals are directly transmitted to
the next safety zone node via X103.1 and X103.2.
