CONTROLS
No
special precautions are normally necessary
when
using
or
assembling
the
instrument. However,
in
order
to
avoid possible damage
to
the
instru-
ment,
the
following suggestions are offered:
Store
the
instrument
in
a dry, preferably
warm,
place.
Remove
the
batteries
if
the
instrument
is
to
remain
out
of
use
for
a
long time.
Connect
and
disconnect
microphones
and
adaptors
with
the
power
switched off.
Microphones
and
adaptors
should be assembled
only
when
they
are
at
the
same
temperature.
Do
not
overtighten microphone
and
adaptor
threads.
They
should
dismantle easily
with
only
light finger
torque.
In
dry
weather, be sure
to
discharge
any
static electricity from
your
body
before fitting microphones. A discharge
to
the
meter
input
could cause damage.
