1. Set the diffractometer to the measurement conditions and insert the optical elements you want to
use later for the flood field correction.
2. Use a same in a 2th range where no peaks appear. For the PMMA sample 2th=80° is a useful po-
sition.
3. Perform a Fixed scan and collect at least 10000cps in each channel to check if a correction can
make sense. Scatter of intensity in the channels of <2% should not be corrected.
