5.8 Functions of keys on screen „Service Cutting Unit CU“:
Select the Operating Mode
The operating modes can only be changed when the cutting machine is
switched off.
After changing the operating mode from continuous to start / stop,
the knife can only start when the initiator is no longer dampened. If
this is the case, the “cutter on” button must be pressed for approx. 1
sec
The following operating modes are available:
• Continuous
Through actuating the function key "Cutter ON" the cutter moves contin-
uously the speed of the cutter depends on the speed of the feeding belt
and the set cutting length.
• Start/Stop
Through actuating the function key "Cutter ON" the cutter is switched on.
When the set cutting length has been reached the cutter speed is in-
creased to its maximum speed. After the cut the cutter remains in the
upper position and waits until the next cutting length has been reached.
• Manual
In the Adjust mode „Manual“ the knife travel axis can be jogged forward
with the touch button and. The knife travel axis turns as long as the but-
ton is actuated.
