4-1 Charging/Discharging Instructions 91
4
Application and Driving
Before starting the vehicle, make sure the charging equipment has been
disconnected, because when the charging plug is not completely plugged, the
vehicle can be driven in gear, and the charging equipment locking mechanism
may result in damage to the charging equipment as well as the vehicle.
When the battery temperature is too low or too high, the charging
performance of the vehicle will be affected.
During charging at a low temperature, the temperature control system
can improve the low-temperature charging performance of the battery,
which is limited by the output capacity of the charging pile; the
charging time and heating time will be longer, and the heating power
consumption will increase. This is a normal phenomenon.
During DC charging in the low-temperature and high-SOC condition,
based on the low-temperature characteristics of power battery, the
charging current is small. To increase the charging speed, it is
recommended that the vehicle be charged with a low SOC.
To improve the vehicle driving experience, it is recommended that the
vehicle be charged immediately after being driven. At this moment, the
temperature of power battery is relatively high and the charging
performance can be improved.
In northern regions where the temperature is low, it is recommended to
charge the vehicle in heated space indoors.
When the A/C is turned during charging at la ow temperature, the battery
temperature control system performance and charging performance will be
affected.
During charging, after battery temperature control system starts, it is normal
that the charging power displayed on the combination instrument or
multimedia may fluctuate for a short time.
Before charging is completed, to improve the battery service life, the battery
equalization function will be activated, and this may result in delay in
charging time.
During DC charging at high temperature with high power, the of battery
temperature control system performance may be affected by the A/C,
resulting in the deteriorated charging performance and the prolonged
charging time. To ensure charging efficiency, it is recommended to keep the
A/C off during charging.
When heating or cooling is turned on during charging, it is normal that there
is a certain delay in the charging time and the charging power will increase
slightly.
During charging, battery cooling may start, and it is normal that the
compressor, fan and other components may operate as needed and there
will be some sound in the front compartment.
During charging, predicted remaining time to full charge will be displayed on
the combination instrument or multimedia system. It is normal that the
predicted remaining time to full charge may vary to some extent with different
temperatures, power capacities and charging facilities. It is normal for the
instrument to display "calculating" before end of charging.
If the charging port cap is frozen due to weather or other reasons, do not
open the charging port cap forcibly.
