followed by the display shown by

Compose the shot and take the
picture.
If the subject is too far away resulting in underexposure, the icon will blink.
Get closer to the subject and follow steps 3 and 4.
C.Fn-13-1/3 enables FE lock with the manually-selected focusing point.
